On this page, you can explore some of the background acting I did in 2021 and 2022.

It was a fun way to make some extra money while I was in school or on summer break, and I met some great people and worked on a few really cool projects.

Sometimes people ask me how I got into background acting as someone with no acting experience or training. It was really simple, I googled things like "background acting New Mexico" and reached out to agencies that popped up or signed up on their talent websites.

The first project I worked on in 2021 was a little show called "Stranger Things". I was super excited and they gave me two parts, as a soldier and a police officer. If you watched the show, you remember the scenes where a helicopter lands outside a house, a group of soldiers and their colonel jump out, and the soldiers then proceed to ransack the house. I was one of those soldiers. You can't see my whole body, but in one shot one soldier opens a drawer and throws around all the stuff inside, that was me. The picture below shows the colonel and one of my soldier buddies, I am right behind the colonel.

The police station scene where they take Eleven's fingerprints was really fun. I met one of my really good friends there and they had us be police officers together and walk up to the building. I am the one on the left. She is later featured a lot more in other scenes.

I worked on a show called "Walker Independence" which was shot outside of Santa Fe. They gave me a really snazzy outfit, and I looked like the guy who owns the town's water supply. Here again I met a lot of great people who I am still friends with.

I forget the name of the next project but they had me play a paramedic and a civilian. I received a 5$ bump in my pay because in my role as a civilian they had me stand outside a hospital and fake-smoke a cigarette.

Another super fun one was "Love Lies Bleeding" where they booked me for a gym scene. I first thought they would put me on a machine or something, but then I got to play gym staff and interact with one of the main actresses.
